The Apple Farm

We are open for the season September through Thanksgiving! Stop by 10am-5pm daily for yummy pressed cider, apples by the bushel, seasonal produce, and homemade baked goods.

Apples are our business!

What you can expect to find at the farm in the fall:

  • hot mulled cider

  • apple cider slush

  • concord grapes

  • apples by the bushel

  • local honey

  • maple syrup

  • pumpkins

  • freshly baked apple pies

  • and more!

We have been coming here for years. It is the best cider around! We drive 1.5 hours to get it. Love that you can sample the apples before you buy.

Get to Know Our Apples!

(All of our apples are bagged or crated - we don’t offer apple picking.)

  • Pippin is a hard, tart, old fashioned apple. It is one of the best pie apples we sell and is also great for chunky applesauce.

  • A bright, red-striped apple with a creamy orange color; firm and crisp. It has a sweet/tart flavor, and makes a great fresh eating apple. You may even notice a hint of pear. Cameos are excellent for salads, pies, sauces, and baking.

  • Our most popular variety, Cortland is great for eating and cooking. It doesn’t turn brown when cut, making it perfect for salads.

  • This Red Delicious – McIntosh cross is a crunchy, sweet-tart, multi-purpose apple. It is New York State’s official apple, and is especially good for eating.

  • Fuji is a smaller, hard, sweet-tart eating apple which ripens later in the growing season. It keeps its firmness well.

  • Gala is a sweet-tart all purpose apple which ripens fairly early in the growing season. It is similar to the later variety Jonagold.

  • One of the best early apples, Ginger Gold is a superb multi-purpose apple with a sweet-tart taste and a great crunch.

  • Golden Delicious is a firm-skinned, sweet, all purpose apple. It ripens midseason, is less acidic than many varieties and makes great sauce and pies.

  • Honeycrisp apples are honey sweet (with a touch of tart) and amazingly crisp. They are excellent for eating and salads, but are also good for sauces, baking, and pies. We sell these by the pound.

  • Idared is a tart all-purpose apple. It’s great for eating and also keeps better than any of the other varieties we sell.

  • Jonagold is a sweet-tart all-purpose apple available later in the season. It keeps well and needs little sugar when cooking.

  • Jonamac is a sweet-tart midseason apple. It is great for applesauce and is easy to eat because of its soft texture.

  • A sweet and tangy midseason eating apple whose crunch can’t be beat fresh from the tree.

  • One of the most widely known varieties, McIntosh is a great sweet-tart eating apple and is also good for cooking.

  • A late variety, Mutsu, or Crispin, keeps well and is great for eating, sauce, or pies. Like Jonagold, it needs little sugar for cooking.

  • Northern Spy is a tart all-purpose apple. It is most famous as a pie apple, but is great for eating too. We recommend using them quickly after purchase.
